What can we say about winter besides that it's COLD, COLD, COLD!!! But that's o.k., winter is my favorite season. I just love to get all cozy in my favorite stitching spot and keep stitching until I can't keep my eyes open. There have been so many awesome new things I just don't know where to begin! We have new items from Mirabilia, Little House Needleworks, Victoria Sampler, Pine Mountain, Dutch Treat Designs, and many more! So let me start showing you some of the new and exciting things we have received in our shop.

The first design I'm going to show you comes from one of my favorite designers, Mirabilia. It's called Miss Valentine and she is the 4th fairy in Mirabilia's limited edition holiday fairy series. With flowers through her hair and dress she's ready for Valentine's Day for sure. Her pink and violet wings are accented by beautiful beads and dark pink circles. This kit comes with Crescent Colours, Mill Hill Beads, Kreinik thread, 32 count fabric, needle, and chart.

We are very excited to show you the newest addition to our knitting area...Serendipity Needles. These needles are made from North American White Birch, which makes for a strong and sturdy needle. The finials on top are individually handcrafted with polymer clay, allowing you to express yourself with your knitting tools as well as your knitting. Serendipity Needles have unique collectibles and they're always coming up with new ideas with the turn of the seasons. These needles would make a wonderful gift for any knitter, beginner to advanced, or add a pair to your own collection.

Dutch Treat Designs has a new table topper out called "Angels Watching". The pattern comes with both designs seen below and also has a third color way in gold. They're all done on Opalescent Anne cloth using pearl cotton size 5 and also a few Caron Collection Watercolors. We have the cover version done in the shop and it is so pretty. I think the sparkles in the fabric really makes it extra special.

Julia Flynn is the 8th and final chart in the Little House Dear Diary series. The Dear Diary series is a fictional account of 8 young girls (and their diary entries) as they settle with their families in different parts of our country. The dates span from 1780 to 1898. Each chart comes with a small "diary key" that is hidden somewhere in the stitched design. There is also a small "diary entry" that tells about the young girl's life. Each chart also includes a small pillow design that can be stitched separately or the 8 pillows can be stitched together to form another sampler!! (There is also a free chart for the center of the pillow sampler that is included in the final chart). This is a fun and interesting series to stitch !! All charts use DMC floss and can be stitched on aida or linen!!

Kreinik has 6 new kits out using their new 'Tokens & Trifles' sewing cards. These cards are 2 3/8" x 3 1/2". Each kit comes in a hard plastic case and includes a Tokens & Trifles sewing card with a size #28 Tapestry needle, Kreinik thread to stitch one design, instructions & chart.

The latest from Victoria Sampler is the Christmas Village. This beautiful sampler can be stitched in 3 individual smaller sampler or you can stitch them to create one sampler. Stitched on 28 count Smokey Pearl Linen with silks and Gentle Art threads. You can see something new every time you look at your Christmas Village. This will truly be a Christmas heirloom that can be passed down from generation to generation.

The verse on this sampler says:

"I hear the bells on Christmas day their old familiar carols play and wild and sweet the words repeat of peace on earth-good will to men."

"Autumn is a second spring... when every leaf is a flower" is the sentiment from Bent Creek's new Autumn Snapperland series. There are 4 autumn charts that can be stitched separately or together with the free border chart that is available.

Mirabilia Designs and Hoffman Distributing Company have come together yet again to bring you a beautiful new series from Nora Corbett. The "Christmas Tree 2006" is the first in a new annual series and includes 10 different beads and treasures from Mill Hill, 2 Kreinik Metallic threads, and the graph. The sparkling beads and bright treasures makes this tree come to life!!

The threads used are DMC and the model was stitched on 32 count Dirty Linen from Zweigart. Threads and fabric are not included with this design. Stitched area is 7 1/2" x 11" with a stitch count of 119 x 173.
