"Ladies, many of you
remember that as I celebrated PM Anniversaries I asked you to help
stitch ornaments, baby afghans, etc. to raise money for Make A Wish
Foundation (ornaments--over 10,000) and the afghans to go over to the
isolates in hospitals (over 2500). I have donated 42 PM cross
stitch squares to a UK NGO in Lagos, Nigeria for the ladies to stitch
lap quilts (x-stitch in center) for the children in the hospitals there.
I thought that we as a group of loving, caring and sharing friends who
cross stitch might like to stitch one of these (without words) on a
piece of 12 x 12 14 ct Aida (any light color). I would collect
them as you stitch and when I have 25 pieces, I will forward to Nigeria
for the ladies to make into blankets. the head of the project,
Donald, is so very grateful. He could not believe I was giving him
the PM pieces...he was willing to pay for them. I told him, I
could not take money when the children need our help. If the
response is really good, we can make blankets for the children here in
the US too!
Let me know what you think of this project we could work
on all year together! Please share with your friends.
