Kick off your Summer Stitching on Saturday June 9th 2012 as Cecilia’s Samplers welcomes Pat Carson from "Designs by Gloria and Pat, Inc." for an exclusive world premier of 4 of her new Precious Moments Books – containing several charts each. Pat will be spending the day (with a break for lunch) with us for an exclusive meet and greet! Don’t miss this opportunity to meet a true legend in the needlework industry. Pat has been designing and teaching for over 40 years – Pat learned cross stitch from the First Lady of cross stitch, Ginnie Thompson. Pat still travels the world actively teaching needlework and promoting the needlework industry, so we are very fortunate to have her be able to spend the day with us. She will be here for autographs, pictures, needlework advice and her free "5 minute cross stitch lesson". Pat has also been kind enough to let us reprint her 18th Century True Friendship Sampler – originally an exclusive teaching piece – it is what I call "a sister piece" to another of Pat’s designs, the 17th Century Band Sampler. We will also take pre-orders for the Friendship Sampler, too. We will have door prizes, refreshments, and lots of fun!!! We look forward to seeing you!! Blackbird Designs: Loose Feathers Club 2012 There will be four booklets released throughout this year's program.  BBD has chsen to create designs that have been inspired by antique samplers.  Each booklet will include one main cross stitch piece and two small bonus pieces.  The cost for each booklet will be $15.99. This year, the main stitch piece from each booklet will be stitched separately from each other.  The designs in the first booklet is stitched on 30 ct R&R Repoductions linen with Crescent Colours and Gentle Art threads.
